Penang Bridge

Another attraction is the Penang Bridge, spanning 13.5km in which over 5 km is located on the sea. It links Seberang Perai on the mainland to Gelugor on the island. This engineering marvel has been officially acclaimed the longest bridge in South East Asia region and the third longest bridge in the world.

Built in September 1985 and completed in September 1988, Penang Bridge is the pride of Malaysian. It is the first and only road link to the island from the mainland.

The view from the bridge of the vast open sea and Penang coastline is simply out-of-this-world.
